A Survivor’s Story of Tragedy and Hope in Seguin

In February 2024, a devastating tragedy struck the remote mountain town of Seguin, located 30 miles south of Port-au-Prince. Sixteen members of the same family succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning, leaving behind grief and despair. Amid the devastation, a lone survivor clung to life.

Thanks to donors’ contributions, our team was able to hike into the village and transport the survivor by helicopter to Mirebalais, where they received critical care. Your support made this life-saving mission possible, ensuring that even in the most remote areas, hope can prevail.

Viergela’s Fight for Life

Early this year, Viergela faced a sudden health crisis. Her oxygen levels plummeted, and her life was hanging by a thread. Partnering with Haiti Health Ministries, our team swiftly responded, providing emergency transport and critical care.
