Infectious Disease Prevention & Treatment
Infectious diseases remain one of Haiti’s most pressing public health challenges. Cholera, malaria, tuberculosis, and vaccine-preventable illnesses continue to threaten lives, especially in rural and underserved areas.

Vaccination & Prevention Efforts
Stopping infectious diseases before they start is key to protecting Haiti’s future. We partner with local and international health organizations to:
- Distribute vaccines against deadly diseases like measles, tetanus, and polio.
- Provide routine immunization support for infants and children.
- Educate communities about hygiene, mosquito-borne illnesses, and disease prevention.
Response to Haiti’s Recent Cholera Outbreak
Haiti’s recent cholera outbreak has devastated communities, spreading rapidly through contaminated water. Without proper hydration and medical care, cholera can kill within hours. Haiti Air Ambulance was on the frontlines:
- Airlifting severely dehydrated patients to hospitals with cholera treatment units.
- Delivering oral rehydration salts (ORS), IV fluids, and antibiotics to hard-to-reach areas.
- Supporting WASH initiatives to distribute clean water and sanitation supplies to prevent further infections.

Fighting Tuberculosis & Malaria in Haiti
Haiti continues to face high rates of tuberculosis and malaria, which can be deadly without proper treatment. Haiti Air Ambulance supports efforts by:
- Transporting TB and malaria patients to healthcare facilities for lifesaving care.
- Delivering antimalarial medications to at-risk communities.
- Supporting screening and early detection programs for tuberculosis.
A Lifeline for Patients in Need
Infectious diseases disproportionately affect Haiti’s most vulnerable populations—children, the elderly, and those with limited access to healthcare. Haiti Air Ambulance bridges the gap, ensuring that no one is left behind.
