Haiti Air Ambulance is the only helicopter air ambulance service in Haiti, serving all 11.4 million people regardless of their ability to pay. Our goal is to uplift the Haitian community in as many ways as possible, providing medical, economic, environmental, and social support. Haiti Air Ambulance has made a significant impact on the lives of Haitians, with over 2,000 patients benefiting from transport, triage, and treatment, and 126 rural clinics and major hospitals depending on their services for patient transport. We have also treated thousands of patients at over 200 landing sites, delivered 60,000 COVID-19 vaccines and critical medical supplies, and provided 600 first aid courses annually to medical personnel and their communities.

Our Work in Haiti

One of the most crucial aspects of Haiti Air Ambulance’s work is our helicopter air ambulance response. In a country where travel to medical care can take up to 12 hours in some areas, Haiti Air Ambulance’s life-saving helicopter transport reduces travel time to just 24 minutes. We are also the first on the scene to provide rescue and treatment for victims of humanitarian crises such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and epidemics.

Another essential service provided by Haiti Air Ambulance is critical maternal and perinatal care. We perform life-saving measures for pregnant women and their newborns, ensuring that mothers and babies have access to the care they need to survive and thrive.

Haiti Air Ambulance also transports patients, doctors, vaccines, and medical supplies to clinics and hospitals across the country, helping to bridge the gap in healthcare access and provide essential resources to those in need. In addition, we train and employ healthcare professionals to address Haiti’s critical shortage of healthcare workers.
