Why Haiti-To-Me, And Why Now?
When protection and stability become uncertain, the entire community feels the impact.
For many Haitian families in South Florida, Temporary Protected Status has represented stability, employment, family unity, and the ability to build a life while conditions in Haiti remain extraordinarily difficult.
Haiti-To-Me brings the Haitian diaspora and communities in Haiti into one shared conversation about resilience, identity, displacement, family, culture, and emotional well-being.
Through storytelling and creative expression, the initiative creates a space for people to share experiences that are often difficult to put into words – while strengthening community connection, visibility, and collective support.

Haiti-To-Me will bring together Haitian artists, storytellers, students, families, community organizations, institutional partners, and supporters for an immersive evening built around culture and connection.
4:00–6:00 PM | Artist Meet-and-Greet
Meet participating artists, hear the stories behind their work, capture interviews and community content, and preview featured silent-auction pieces.
6:00–10:00 PM | Main Event
Experience live music, personal storytelling, artist presentations, contest recognition, community activations, and the Haiti-To-Me silent auction.

Calling Local Artists: Share Your Haiti-To-Me Story
Haiti-To-Me invites artists, musicians, and storytellers to submit original work celebrating resilience, culture, identity, and community.
Entries are open September 1-October 23, 2026.
Selected submissions will be showcased online, promoted throughout the campaign, and presented to the community for public voting.
Winning Artist
The winning artist will receive a $500 cash prize, recognition at the November 5 event, and potential local media and interview exposure.

Each participating artist should have a dedicated profile featuring their artwork, artist statement, medium, location, and their response to:

Silent Auction
Art That Creates Impact
Featured artwork and community-donated items will be incorporated into a silent auction supporting the Haiti-To-Me initiative and Haiti Air Ambulance.
Guests will have an opportunity to discover the artists behind selected pieces, learn the stories connected to their work, and support the broader mission through participation in the auction.
